If You Follow Joel Osteen, You Need to Stop

If you still haven’t come to the realization that Joel Osteen (and his wife) are heretics, then you haven’t been paying attention or you’ve been hoodwinked by his Christian ‘sounding’ rhetoric which underneath is nothing other than new age self fulfillment in the guise of Christian faith.

Need more proof?  There’s this.

A recently recorded video is circulating online of Victoria Osteen, wife of megachurch speaker and author Joel Osteen, calling on congregants at Lakewood Church to ‘do good for your own self’ because obedience, the church and worship are not for God as much as for self-happiness.

“I just want to encourage every one of us to realize when we obey God, we’re not doing it for God—I mean, that’s one way to look at it—we’re doing it for ourselves, because God takes pleasure when we’re happy,” she declares in the undated 36-second clip with her husband standing by her side and nodding. “That’s the thing that gives Him the greatest joy…”

The theological problem with that, in case you missed it, is that worship is NOT about you and obedience is NOT about your happiness.  God doesn’t exist for you, you exist for God.  The Osteen’s, as heretics, have it just backwards.

Why do I mention this?  Because some Christians in our country have been duped by Osteen’s self fulfillment false gospel and it is my task as the under-shepherd to guard the sheep from the wolves.

The Osteens are wolves.
