If our righteousness is as filthy (menstrual) rags, imagine what our sinful nature is like. — Jeremy Roth

North Korea Kills A Christian, For Giving Out Bibles
July 24, 2009 · Leave a Comment
The Associated Press has the outrageous news that
A Christian woman accused of distributing the Bible, a book banned in communist North Korea, was publicly executed last month for the crime, South Korean activists said Friday. The 33-year-old mother of three, Ri Hyon Ok, also was accused of spying for South Korea and the United States, and of organizing dissidents, a rights group said in Seoul, citing documents obtained from the North.
As if that weren’t a crime against humanity worthy of worldwide excoriation, the report continues
… her husband, children and parents were sent to a political prison the day after her June 16 execution.
And of course
… there has been no mention by the North’s official Korean Central News Agency of her case.
I want to go on the record, theologically speaking, denouncing this subhuman cruelty. The person or persons involved in this murder need to be brought to the court of international justice and there receive the stiffest possible penalty. We freedom loving Christians who take for granted our privileges every day should be particularly enraged. There but for the grace of God, go our own Lands.

Someone stopped by to visit today who may well want the job. He certainly liked the office, and we all know he’s been practicing his sermons at home…
