This email arrived today:

We have a very urgent prayer request for a 2 ½ month old baby named Landon Ariks. He is the son of Chris and Jessica Ariks. Jessica lost their first child just over a year ago. Mom and Dad are really struggling to make sense of all of this. Landon is also the grandson of Ronnie and Rhonda Nickel. Ronnie is the pastor of the Union Chapel Baptist Church in Roane County, TN. Landon is fighting for his life and needs the prayers of every believer who will not only pray for him but encourage others to pray for him as well. Please feel free to pass this along to your prayer partners.

Please continue to remember Ronnie Nickle and his family as they now may soon be faced with the decision of discontinuing life support on his little 3 month old grandson, Landon Ariks.

UPDATE II: The baby was placed on life support this morning.

UPDATE III:  Landon Ariks died about 11:30 pm Thursday, January 31, 2008.
