VBS Planning

Vacation Bible School is just around the corner.  Tonight was the first organizational meeting and several things were discussed.  We ate a bit of a snack, of course, and on display were some of the materials that would be available for the classes.  The date for VBS is, tentatively, June 18-22.  If that date doesn’t work out, then the next tentative date is June 4-8.  When the date is firmly set it will, of course, be announced.  Block off, for now, both those weeks and plan on attending VBS with us.

 

 

 

Lonnie Wilkey, The NFL, and Standards

Lonnie Wilkey’s column in this week’s Baptist and Reflector is right on the mark. There’s something odd about the fact that the NFL is being more aggressive in enforcing morality and ethical behavior than the Church. Read Lonnie’s remarks, because again, he’s right.
